Network Connect, AM and PM Brewing Up Business, networking events are attended by a diverse group of LGBT Chamber members including corporate members, small business owners, non-profit leaders, elected officials and people running for office, and members in hospitality, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, and more.

Requirements and Benefits of Hosting the LGBT Chamber Brewing Up Business

MEMBERSHIP
All Brewing Up Business hosts must be a current Nashville LGBT Chamber member at Copper Level ($400) or above.  

TIME
AM Brewing Up Business is held 9 am - 10:30 am on the first Thursday of the month.
PM Brewing Up Business is held 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm on the third Thursday of the month.

SPACE
The host will provide space for about 50 people for AM BUB and 60-150 people for PM BUB. We can't have Brewing Up Business without proper space. Finding the right space is of the utmost importance. Different parts of town and business types bring out people we may not normally see. We can match your capacity with the appropriate month.

Restaurant
Event Space
Retail Store
Office Space - lounge area, event room
Hotel
Bar/Lounge
Exterior space (e.g. terrace or patio)

For a member who wants to host a BUB but does not have access to space, we will coordinate a partnership between you and another member who has space.

FOOD
The host of AM BUB will provide small breakfast items (bagels, donuts, pastries, etc.) for about 50 people.The host of PM BUB will provide hearty appetizers for 60 to 150 people. The host can highlight their own food, provide store-bought food, or have the event catered.

Sample menu for PM BUB:
Stuffed Mushrooms
Roasted Vegetable Platter with Buttermilk Ranch
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Ginger Hummus with Honey and Crushed Pistachio, served with Pita Bread
Shrimp, asparagus, and Cherry Tomato Flat Bread
Red Potato and Zucchini Medley

For a member who has a space but lacks access to food, we will work to coordinate a partnership with a caterer. It is up to the host and caterer to negotiate the cost. We expect the caterer to work with the host to make it affordable. The caterer can donate the food and be listed as a sponsor or co-host.

DRINKS
AM BUB: The host will provide non-alcoholic drinks for the expected crowd size. Coffee and water are the minimum requirements. Other options such as juice and tea are appreciated, but not required.
PM BUB: The host will provide both alcohol and non-alcohol drinks for the expected crowd size. Minimum requirements are water, red wine, white wine, and beer. Guests would appreciate soda and other non-alcohol drinks, but it is not a requirement. If the host is a restaurant or bar, we request each guest receive one free drink for the first 75 guests from a limited menu and the opportunity to purchase from a cash bar after that.

For example, the host provides 75 drink tokens which the Chamber distributes to attendees. The drink menu consists of one white wine, one red wine, 2 beers, and maybe a specialty cocktail which is preferably premade.

If the host can provide space and food but not complimentary drinks, we will work to find a sponsor for the 75 drink tickets. We expect the venue to give a discounted price to the drink sponsor. The drink sponsor will determine their budget well in advance of the event, and the Chamber will manage the negotiation.

Anyone who hosts a Network Connect networking event will be acknowledged on at least 1 email invitation to our network, on social media promotions, and be allotted 5 minutes to speak to attendees at the event.
