About
Located on Broadway in the city's historic main post office building, the Frist Art Museum is a major cultural hub in the region. The Frist opened in April 2001 (as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts), and since then has hosted a spectacular array of art from the region, the country, and around the world. Unlike any traditional museum youâ??ve ever visited, the Frist Center is magnet for Nashvilleâ??s rapidly expanding visual arts scene. With an exhibitions schedule that has new art flowing through the magnificent Art Deco building every 6 to 8 weeks, no matter how often you visit, there is always something new and exciting to see in the spacious galleries. The Frist is open 7 days a week and is open until 9:00 p.m. Thur. and Fri. evenings. Admission is free for Frist Center Members visitors 18 and younger.
